HHMI completed 50 glorious years in March 2012. We celebrated this golden moment over two days, October 28 and 29, 2012. The celebration was attended by alumni across the world.
On October 28 2012, a meeting was organized capturing the great moments of the school, past and present. The souvenir ‘Times Past Times Present’ was released by the then Chief Minister, Late Tarun Gogoi, the Chief Guest of the event. The meeting was attended by Shri Vineet Joshi, former CBSE Chairman and Shri Setong Sena, former Minister in the Arunachal Pradesh Ministry and many other dignitaries.
The Cultural Program on the 28th evening was dedicated to two of our beloved teachers Late Dennis Bangs and Late Annie Goldsmith who played a key role in every cultural event of the school. The program ended with the Band Up, Band Up! song composed and written by HHMI alumni and former Principal Late Bijoy Krishna Handique.
On October 29, 2012, there was a rally around Jorhat town with students and teachers both past and present led by the well known sports stars of HHMI who made a name for themselves in the Sports circle. The rally was followed by a meeting and lunch for the HHMI Alumni Association.
The Celebrations ended with a party organized by the HHMI alumni at the Gymkhana Club.
